ahhh, fun summer days!

This morning we had another great playdate with friends. The kids had fun in the sprinkler and just in time because about an hour after our company left the sky got dark and the rain poured down :) Then we set in to get the 3 older kids packed for camp. So it began like this.....

After a week in Mississippi with their grandparents the kids returned to dentist appointments and eye doctor appointments.


Micah wouldn't cooperate so I don't have any of him in a chair :(

I found a few great blogs online and one had some great craft ideas for myself and the kids. The first one we did was to cover our journals. Great idea to make a generic 97 cent composition book unique :)

Long time no see :)

So since this year has gone by with few to no posts, here's a recap of May....


Mocha had her baby....one that we didn't even know she was pregnant with though the kids and I had just been talking a few days before about the possibility as her belly was so big :)




The boys will look for any excuse to ride in the back of the truck :)

You know I think so many of us get bogged down with life and loose our joy. Sometimes we forget that God is the source of joy and peace. If you are maybe in one of these places in life you NEED to watch this....I was rolling!! World Outreach Church

Wow.....yep, I'm still here :)

No big eloquent post here....of course have I EVER been that way :) Just thinking some thoughts out loud. What a year this has been. Our family has had such a roller coaster ride. For the first time since having kids I went back to school....no, not "conventional" school, but school none the less. It's the first time that I feel my attention has ever truly been pulled away from my children....don't get me wrong I haven't neglected them (though at times I felt like I was) just that all I was doing wasn't focused/centered more on them than any other factor in my life. We've all laughed, cried, been excited, and been anxious at different points this year, towards my schooling and the school year. We've been criticized and questioned at different points by different people. Had highs and lows financially, emotionally, and physically. But as it's all rolling to an end......we are so glad we followed the Lord into His path for our life this last school year. We've all grown in so many ways.....some that I think we won't truly know for years to come. Do I/we know where we are headed now?...I don't know yet. But I know that the training and growth that has occurred this year is invaluable and will be one of the many training "courses" in our lives. Our faith is stronger, or communication has grown, and our goals and purposes have received LOTS of prayer and I'm confident that our steps are truly ordered of the Lord.

Wow.....where has the time gone??

Where has the time gone? We've been soooo busy that time just flew and here I am almost 2 months w/o a post!! About mid to late Oct Brianna and I started rehearsals for American Theatre's production of "A Christmas Carol". Between having school Monday through Friday myself in the mornings, then play practice Monday through Friday evenings, we've been super busy! I realized in going through my pictures to post that I didn't even take ANY pictures on Thanksgiving :( And the only pics I DID take in November were the ones from going to see Rhema's lights! So here are a couple of those.........

My next task is going to be to post some pics of/from the play. Once it's done on Dec 23 we will have done 14 performances!!
