Yay! I did it!

I finished my very first ever "order" for a hair flower :) Plus I worked on creatively posing them.....that part still needs work ;) Any tips or suggestions. My camera is just a basic point and click so nothing all fancy.

And a couple others i've made to sell.....

A fair adventure....

Last week was the end of our local fair and the kids and I were able to go with my mom to check it out via a school deal. We got in for $2 a child over 4 and 2 free teachers! Not a bad deal at all. They had some great educational things going on in the kids building.....

  and of course in the birthing center and petting zoo.

 

Then we topped the day off with a few rides for each kiddo. This was the only thing we could actually get Micah to ride....he made it two laps then wanted off :( I think he's gonna be like his mom when it comes to rides! LOL

I think what we all got the greatest laugh about however was this.....

Ethan wanted to ride this camel so bad he even used his own money his Nannie had given him, $5 mind you. His response, "That was a waste, I only even went around 2 laps.".....the lesson, priceless! LOL
So starting about 9:30 am and finishing about 4pm we were worn out but all in all it was a great outing with adventure AND education ;)

while I'm trying to learn how to create a cuter blog! Any tips or advice GREATLY appreciated, I'm not so skilled at this as you can see!

fall tee

After seeing some cute candy corn tees around I decided I wanted to make one :) So I took a white eyelet shirt I had that had become to big and cut it up to be my white. I also took a yellow shirt of my boys that didn't fit right and was rather worn and cut it for the yellow. I then sewed it together like strips.

Now it was time to cut out my candy corn using my template.

and sew it on. Since the shirt was for my daughter and I wanted it a bit more frilly I added a ruffle along the bottom, also cut from the eyelet shirt :)

With the remaining section of fabric I cut out a few strips to make some matching rosettes!

Rolled them up and pinned them to sew.

And here's the finished product!

Day 2...

At the auction, this was such an adventure! If you don't crowd in you won't get a spot :)

There are rows and rows of stuff, everything from treasures to junk, about 4 or 5 acres actually :)

We got the pumpkins decorated that the kids had gotten the day before.

We checked out the treasures we purchased :)

oh and I forgot 1 picture from day one that was to cute NOT to post :)

A weekend of fun!

Nannie and Pawpaw came into town late Thur night to stay the weekend. Boy did we stay busy :) Friday we started out with the pumpkin patch (which we were a bit perturbed at, but that's another story!) where we got to see some animals (most of which types we've owned at one time or another ;)

We concluded that evening by constructing our new tent that we'd gotten in the mail that day!

I'll post about day 2 tomorrow, I'm hitting the sack!!
