Snow.......no ice playday :)

Yep, you read right. The ground is covered in pretty white..........ice! But alas the kids wanted to go play in it anyway :) So we dug out the snow gear and bundled up. Here's Micah all puffed out in Caleb's gear from last year.

Brianna was a great big sis and followed Micah around to make sure he didn't fall and that his gloves stayed on :)

Caleb in his gear........Ethan's from 2 yrs ago.........the pants were Brianna's before that!
I'm not sure WHY they were raking the ice, but they were :) They wanted to me to take them to the hill to sled, but I had to explain that it's road so it's not safe to sled on it :(

I'm not sure what the kids were doing but apparently Caleb thought he'd try to make a snow angel :)

Of course leave it to Ethan to get a great new idea :)

And of course that looked fun right.........so who else should try :) Oh and yes, Micah is back outside...dressed in another set of clothes! LOL Don't worry he only lasted a few minutes.

Micah goes fishing :)

It was so cute! Micah found one of the boys fishing poles and I think the kids put the hat on him, but he though he was the man :)
"Huh, me?"

MNI.....the truth comes out :)

Ok, so I have an awesome dh that realizes my need for socialization and time with the girls :) What might we do at these gatherings..........well all kinds of things! Sometimes we just go to a movie, or dinner, sometimes we just hang out and have coffee. Other times we head to someones home and shock ourselves :) Kidding, this was a first for me (I actually didn't even play this game, just watched)! It was so much fun, we played Apples to Apples, Scattagories, and Guesstures along with a few brave that played this shocking game :)

About the game: So it's 2 controllers and it has buttons/sensors on it. Each player holds the controller. A small (so I'm told) shock is sent to each player, a pause, another shock. After 4 at the same level it'll get a little stronger....repeat 4x's......stronger.....etc. up to 4 strengths. The first player to let go (which I hear can only be done in between shocks cause your muscles like tense up) looses ;) How's that for some great fun?!?

I have more pics and video but I have to get the participants permission first :)

Homeschool bowling......

How blessed could we be, ice skating on a Friday, then bowling the following Monday!! Needless to say the kids and I were thrilled :) This time Caleb was able to join us. He started out using the aiming tool the alley has but then the kids decided they wanted bumpers so he didn't need it.

Ethan wasn't to thrilled about having to use a pink ball but the orange ball was to light and kept getting stuck :(

Caleb got to take some pics but then didn't want to cooperate when I went to take his, I tricked him and got this one :)

Homeschool ice skating.....

I was able to get a friend to watch the younger 2 so that the older ones (along with 3 friends) could go ice skating. Yes, even I got on the ice! That's how the pics and video were all taken :)
Ethan taking a break on the side rail.
Emily, Brianna, and Bethany giving a big grin.

Taking a break and chatting with some old friends out in the lobby area.

Here's Brianna skating, she thought I was taking a picture so she was trying to stop for is :)

And in this Ethan....zooming on by with a mission! LOL

Marshmallow fun!

So this year for Christmas I got an AWESOME idea from a blog I read. It was to make marshmallow shooters for all the boy cousins, of course we had to test them out! The ones we gave away (still have some to get to the cousins out of state) were painted camoflouge :) So here are the kids armed....we used baggies tied around their waste for easy reloading :)-

On of my favorite parts was the occasionally Caleb would start to inhale a marshmallow as he was going to blow it out. Although he like marshmallows he would just about gag and spit the thing out! Too funny!!

New Years fun :)

We had another family over to bring in new year. We started off with a FEAST of food, then followed the night up with games and a movie for the kiddos.

We all played poor kitty :) Brianna's meow's got so long and Micah jumped in on the fun! LOL

Tommy on the floor cuddled up with a HUGE bear they brought and a blanket.....ready for the movie :)
Brianna and Emily.......ready too.........
Caleb, Bethany, Ethan, and their dog ginger! The movie is on!!

Now what are the adults doing you ask........playing the Wii of course! Boxing was the game of choice in these pictures ;)

Amazingly, SOME how both ladies beat their men in this game?!? Guess we haven't fully figured that one out ;)

awwww, bathtime cutie!

Micah likes to take baths and he LOVE to be wrapped up in his froggy towel afterwards :) He's also quite the camera hog and loves to take pictures then wants to see them right away! LOL

Don't you just love those wrinkly fingers and toes after a soak in the tub :)
He even ate some goldfish sitting in his towel :)

I just have to laugh and remember to treasure these moments along with the frustrating ones so that one day when they are all grown up I won't feel like I missed them all........

ahhhh......

Ok, so I've gotten busy again......this time with ..........just life :) So alas I have a reason to blog! I've been tagged :) I was asked to post the fourth picture in the fourth album on my computer and write something telling about it and then tag 4 more people .....

So this was a picture from this last summer of David with Caleb by the Texas star :) The older 2 kids had stayed for 2 weeks with their Nanny and Pawpaw and we were meeting them in Texas to pick the kids up. David and I had been talking about how our parents would stop(sometimes against our wishes and sometimes we wanted to ;) in each state and take pictures of where we'd been :) so we thought it would be fun to do with ours!

So now I tag........Nikki, Melissa , Christine, and Kelee
